In the top right corner of every article are three icons.  the first is to convert the article into a PDF, the second to print, and the third is to send it via an e-mail.  The ability to convert any of the websites articles can be very beneficial to organizations.  This site allows any user to do the conversion on the fly rather than having to post a separate PDF file.

This article fits in the 'about us' section of this website.  Because I am trying to just use filler information the following is from Wikipedia.org and their article on the war of 1812.

The War of 1812 was fought in 1812-1815 between the United States of America and the British Empire. While the British naval blockade of the U.S. coast was a success, the land warfare was a draw. The U.S. initially tried repeatedly to invade Upper Canada with no success; the British launched multiple invasions that were beaten back.  At the end, the British held parts of Maine and some outposts in the west while the Americans held Canadian territory near Detroit, but all occupied territories were restored at the end of the war.

Many times important information that you want to draw attention to on the front page is too long to post in its entirety.  This is not a problem at all because it is easy to post a portion of the article on the front page and then have a "read more"option available such as the one in the bottom right corner of this article.

This article is also from Wikipedia.org and it focuses on orchids.

Orchidaceae (or Orchid family) is the largest family of the flowering plants (Angiospermae).[1][2] Its name is derived from the genus Orchis.  The Royal Botanical Gardens of Kew list 880 genera and nearly 22,000 accepted species, but the exact number is unknown (perhaps as many as 25,000)[3] because of taxonomic disputes. The number of orchid species equals about four times the number of mammal species, or more than twice the number of bird species. It also encompasses about 6–11% of all seed plants.[4]
